Vestry

 

The Vestry at St. Alban's Church is comprised of six adult members who are elected yearly by members of the parish. (Age 16 and above are eligible to vote.)

Election to the Vestry comes with a commitment to serve and support the people and the clergy through the ministries and spiritual life of the parish, as well as the administration of the business of the church.

Guidelines for Vestry Nomination

Guidelines for nominations for Vestry members are the following: the nominee is an adult, confirmed communicant, in good standing, who shall be a registered member of the Parish at the time of the election at the Parish Meeting.  Only one person from a household  may be eligibile to serve on the Vestry. No person may be nominated who has not consented to such a nomination and agreed to serve as an active member of the Vestry. To be called to serve on the Vestry is an honor and one to consider prayerfully.

Any parishioner desiring to nominate a person for election to the Vestry for the next year should make such nomination(s) in writing to one of the members of the committee.
